About

I am dedicated to helping individuals overcome their personal challenges and live a happy, healthy life. I encourage engaging and speaking with a counselor because it is a highly rewarding, beneficial process. I have a deep understanding of the complexities of the human mind and the power of psychological flexibility. I provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

I believe therapy is about helping you find your honest self. Thoughts and emotions we experience in everyday life and in times of trouble can become painful and overwhelming. I work with you to take notice of your true self, recognize unfavorable coping mechanisms, and discover self-compassionate ways of living. Self-awareness and self-acceptance are ongoing goals that are the cornerstones of most of the work I do. I can promise to support you and do my very best to understand your needs, and help you to achieve healthy personal growth.

In addition to my private practice, I provide individual and group psychotherapy at Community Empowerment Resources (CER), a mental health non-profit organization in Hawaii. I am also the Qualified Mental Health Practitioner (QMHP) for CER’s crisis stabilization facility, Ekolu. My expertise in trauma-informed care and crisis management has helped numerous individuals regain control of their lives.

Beyond my psychological training and clinical experience, I'm an outdoor enthusiast, no matter the season. You'll often find me paddleboarding, hiking, skiing, or simply walking along the beach. I also treasure time spent with my family, which includes my husband and three children, embarking on adventures both close to home and far away.
